Export and Import of lexical resources

Currently the options and functionalities described in this page apply only toTeneo Studio Desktop

Introduction

Teneo Studio allows solution developers to create their own lexical resources by creating Language Objects and / or Entities in a solution, exporting as a lexical resource (creating a .library file) and, then, importing the file as a lexical resource.

The solution from which the lexical resource is create can contain Flows and other documents because exporting as lexical resource only takes into account Language Objects and Entities contained in the Studio solution and hence only these are exported to the library file. As mentioned, the exported lexical resource receives the file extension .library which is also the only supported file format for import of a lexical resource.

Note that any imported lexical resource is made available to all solutions of the same language in the environment.

Export as lexical resource

To export a solution with Language Objects and Entities as a lexical resource, please follow the below steps:

• Go to the backstage of Teneo Studio (Solution tab), select Import/Export
• Click Export

Please note that depending on the currentTeneo user and permissions some options might be unavailable

• The Export window opens, the currently opened solution will be pre-selected, use Ctrl+click to select further solutions and export them all at once
• In the right side, click Browse... to select the folder where the export should be stored
• Under Export selected solutions as, select Lexical Resources
• If relevant, add a Version number
• When done, click Continue
• In the next window, it is possible to Show notes to see any notes added to the solution, or go Back to correct any incorrect information or add more solutions to the export
• If everything is correct, click Begin export
• When the export has finished, a green check mark is displayed next to the solution name and the user should click Done to close the Export window.

Import a lexical resource

To import a lexical resource and assign it to a solution, please follow the below steps:

• Go to the backstage of Teneo Studio (Solution tab), select Import/Export
• Click Import Resource

Please note that depending on the currentTeneo user and permissions some options might be unavailable

• In the newly opened window, browse to the .library file and click Open
• Teneo Studio will inform the user when the import has finished, click Close
• To assign the new lexical resource to the solution, please follow the steps outlined here.
